Paul Kisoo Kim joined DCPLA as a Senior Advisor in April 2020. In his current role, he provides advice to the CEO and senior management members of DCPLA on matters concerning the strategic allocation of assets held by Pan-Asian and in particular South Korean institutional investors.
Paul has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, with an emphasis on distribution, capital markets and alternative investments. He has had a longstanding relationship with South Korean landmark firms.
Paul currently serves as a Senior Advisor of Olympus Partners Asia Ltd., Hong Kong, an investment advisory and asset management firm, helping asset managers and general partners communicate their unique value proposition to professional investors. Previous to that, he served as a Senior Sales Director, Institutional Sales at Value Partners Hong Kong for South Korean markets. He also served as further high ranking positions in distribution at various Hong Kong-based firms like Cantor Fitzgerald, Mizuho Securities (Asia), CLSA Korea and Salomon Brothers. Furthermore, he advised the Financial Industry Development Committee at the FSS (financial regulator) of Korea.
Paul holds an MBA from George Washington University, in Washington, DC, USA and received an MA in Economics from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, USA. Moreover, he graduated with a Bachelor in Business from Eastern Washington University, Cheney, Washington, USA. He speaks Korean and English.
