Jauri Juho Yrjänä Häkkä joined DCPLA as a Senior Advisor in September 2016. In his current role, he provides advice to the CEO and senior management members of DCPLA on matters concerning the strategic allocation of assets held by Scandinavian institutional investors.
Jauri has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, with an emphasis on asset management, capital markets and alternative investments. He has had a longstanding relationship with Nordic landmark firms, such as Director, Portfolio Manager of Nordea Investment Management AB (from 2006 to 2016), Co-head of Asset Management and CIO at Kaupthing Bank Oyj (from 1998 to 2006). He also served as Director, Institutional Clients at EFG Investment Bank AB (IBP Fondkommission AB) and Director, Asset Management of Arctos Securities Oy.
Jauri currently serves as the founder and managing director of Widhaby Advisors, an advisory firm, helping asset managers and general partners communicate their unique value proposition to professional investors. Furthermore, he performs as an active board member of APFI - Association of Professional Fund Investors, in Switzerland. Previous to that, he served as a board member of Nordea Private Equity II AB, Sweden for 6 years (from 2006 to 2013).
Jauri received the Swedish Fund Selection “Team of the Year” award in 2010, and also the Swedish and Finnish Fund Selection “Team of the Year” awards in 2011, by Nordic Fund Selection Journal.
Jauri holds M.Sc. (Econ.) from the Svenska Handelshögskolan in Helsinki (1989) and received the CEFA (Certified EFFAS Financial analyst), Svenska Handelshögskolan / EFFAS (2001). He also studied Financial Analysis and Swap Financing at the Management Centre Europe, in Brussels. He speaks Finnish, Swedish, English, German and Spanish.
